5 am egg roll! We are about 1 week out from hatch! I'm currently debating lockdown day. Wait for an internal pip or just lock down on day 17?

I've read that you just lock down, but I've never hatched eggs, lol. So my thoughts don't matter much on this topic.

For silkie eggs or bantams in general lockdown starts on day 17. They have a tendency to hatch early! My last batch of silkie chicks hatched on day 19.
