Coturnix quail uncontrollable head movement

Hello everyone,
I am not new to raising quails or chickens but have found I enjoy raising coturnix quail mostly. Currently I have 23 quail and they are all coturnix. I have been following this site for sometime and am finally in need of assistance with an issue that one of my newly hatch quail has.

I recently hatched (1 day ago) 17 coturnix quail, all are good except for 1. He hatched with his head twitching from left to right uncontrollably which makes it unable for him to walk correctly or eat/drink on his own. He hatched on his own with no assistance and with the head twitching. I have been hand feeding him his food and water and started him on Selenium and Vitamin E, I will also be starting him on Poultry Nutri-Drench later today. He is not lethargic and is strong, he only has the issues listed. Does anyone know what illness this is or what causes it and is it treatable?

Thank you for any assistance anyone can give me, culling is not an option!

Possibly wry neck?

Keep up with the vitamins and make sure they're eating plenty. If this doesn't help then I don't think it is wry neck and could be a genetic defect? In which case there wouldn't be much you can do.

No I don't know what causes it. You are already doing what can be done to try to help. Usually they don't improve. Good luck.

Sounds like a neurological disorder...not sure what but most likely genetical in nature. Continue with the selenium and Vit E and the Nutri-Drench, it might improve, or it may not! Good luck!

Not really, I wouldn't call it quivering more like a child that shakes his head no when they don't want something.
