coturnix quail with a cold

One of my new birds has come down with a cold...I think. There's a raspy, gargling sound when she tries to vocalize and her nose is a tiny bit runny. These are some of my first birds and I'm not sure what the best course of action is. I read that putting apple cider vinegar in her water would help, and possibly adding yogurt to her feed for probiotics. I've separated her from the rest of the birds. It's been EXTREMELY hot and dry where I live and the other day we barely saved this bird from the neighbors cat. I don't know if those stressors caused her to become ill or if she came sick from the store. Does anyone have any advice? Anyone ever deal with sick quail before?
