I have 3 Coturnix Quail. They were bought point of lay last year so are about a year old. last year I got 3 eggs a day but this year only 1 so I guess only 1 is laying ATM.
One of them developed a lump on it's beak about a month ago which looked bloody so I put down to being an injury. I began to heal up but it's eyes have gone weird too, the bottom lids are larger and slightly closed so it has a permanent scowl. The feathers on the top of her head are also permanently raised so looks like she has a comb or crest.
Any ideas? I was thinking it was some kind of infection or disease but she seems happy enough so I was wondering if it was a maturity thing.
I'll try and take a photo tonight and upload it.
