Cougar

It's already taken the geese a couple weeks ago. Heard strange noise in backyard a little while ago. Went to YouTube. Yep, cougars make the sounds I heard. Got some chairs piled up against a door that is not very strong. Don't hear it now. Spot light is not working. Will get new one tomorrow. I can't help it. I'm scared.

Against what door? Your own or one where the animals are?

Against the door that leads into the house. As much as I like my chickens I was not going to go past the cougar to check up on them.

I've never heard of a mt. lion coming into someone's house. They are generally afraid of people (of course except that one in the news this morning). We camp around them often and they circle camp but won't come in by the tents. They are afraid of any type of loud noise too. You'll be okay if you stay inside. Your poor chickens are an entirely different story though. I can't imagine a chicken coop that'd keep out a big cat.
