Hi thanks ,thats great ,I accidentally got the cockeral the breeder got a special line from the Netherlands and never sells cockerals ,she shows birds and wants to keep the line for herself .I got it as a pullet ,so I told her it was a male and we get along so I kept him for a while ,I would have returned him anyway in spring for her to breed from and not have bred cemani from him, but I had been going to keep him over winter to try to breed all black tinted egg layers with a better egg laying rate than cemani .Yes, two lavender Ameraucana parents will produce lavender chicks. But lavender Ameraucana crossed with other chickens often produces black.
Yes, pullets will probably lay tinted (blue or green) eggs if at least one parent is an Ameraucana.
That looks like anothrt chick we got although it was totatly black ,it looked othereise exactly like thisView attachment 2348575
This one is 1/2 ayam cemani below is his baby
his baby below is 1/4 AC and wyandotte, her comb is not black. her eyes are also not black.
