Could Anyone share Recipes for Home Made Electrolyte Replacement Formula?

Sorry to bring up the heat issue again, but I'm new to this, and we've been hit with some really weirdly hot weather -- 111 the other day, and no relief in site. We've been using the Save-A-Chick Vitamin & Electrolyte Packets. Unfortunately they aren't available locally, and we've been running out. Also it would be great to have a slightly cheaper alternative if possible.

So if any members have recipes that have worked well lately or in the past I'd be very grateful.

I use Gatorade or its generic. An ounce or so goes in one waterer and another waterer gets plain water, or water with ACV, so they can choose. Electrolytes can be overdone.

I appreciate the suggestion -- Gaterade or whatever generic version the local grocery may have is easily available. I hate to sound like an idiot, but I just want to clarify:
by "1 Ounce" you mean an ounce of the liquid, bottled version, right?
or
do you mean an ounce of the powdered mix -- to be added to the water.
I use a large metal jug my biggest girls (3 month old Easter Eggers) along with a slightly smaller plastic version.

For my younger (8 week old) pullets I still use smaller quart jugs screwed into metal water gizmos.

Also, you mentioned that electrolytes could be over used -- Could you tell me how often it's save to use them?
We've just had such scary hot weather lately (and the 8 week ones have only just gone outside . . . it's easy to worry. We've also tried to provide them with cool snacks (frozen berries and yogurt, etc.) along with little bowls they seem to like to put their feet in. They are in shade, and I have a small mister that they seem to be annoyed by. Anything else I could be doing? But we've had several days over 105 lately. Weird. Anyway, thanks again for your help.
