I usually try to get my chicks when I have a broody. Then I just give them to her by putting them under at night. have never had any problems. One broody I had insisted on taking care of the 25 other chicks besides the ones I put under her. They were sectioned off in the same pen and she threw a fit till she could get to the other chicks.
