Could I use this for my aviary?

Can I use this for my aviray? It's what I am using for my run on my chicken coop.

you could, the question is how long would the birds last. You'd be better off to go with a smaller wire, I would personally recommend plastic coated 1 inch or 1/2 inch hex chicken wire. lots of other people say use hardware cloth, but that get pricy.

There would be a sight barrier. Chicken wire is not that strong and they could get in with it.

Predators will tear through chicken wire like an appetizer. Half inch hardware cloth would really be best. This way predators won't be able to stick their paws/beaks through the wire and reach the chickens.

They can't get through it either.

Ok well I think I am still gonna have to use it. I cant afford to buy hardware cloth! It is for ducks also.

If you use that, line the lower couple of feet inside with chicken wire. It will keep raccoons from reaching through to kill chickens next to the walls. It will also keep the chickens from sticking their necks out and getting killed.
