could i walk a goose on a leash?

this is a silly question but im getting a roman tufted goose soon and was just wondering because geese have long necks could they were a collar and lesh to go on walks

Yes, but you should use a HALTER for their torso, never just put something around their neck. They make harnesses you can attach a leash to. Shoot, I forget the last name of Mother Goose, who sadly passed away a year or so ago

but she had pet geese, and sold hand made diapers and harnesses and even clothing. Her first name was Nancy. You could google Mother Goose Nancy and find the website that still sells these things.

It is honestly redundant to leash a goose, they want to FOLLOW you, not lead you. If it is imprinted on you, it will follow at your heels no matter where you go and will stay close by. A leash could be good if you needed to reign the goose in if it got aggressive with a dog on your walk, say. Or it desperately wanted to jump in a river you are strolling along

You could always carry a bottle of water and a plastic dish

around with you. They need water with their food, but not as much as ducks (from my brief experience with my new ducklings, now a month and a half old). Just depends on how long you are out and about, I guess
