Could my Delaware be a roo??

Everyone has been so helpful! Thank you!! I love these chickens so much. I really don’t want to have to get rid of the rooster!

I guess I just cross my fingers until I hear crowing! I don’t think my neighbors will be up for that unfortunately.

One of them is a Delaware and is looking suspiciously roo-like.

How long have his comb and wattles been that red?
Am guessing since he was about 6 weeks old.

They haven’t been this big until more recently, but they were red very early. Probably around 6 weeks like you said. I heard Delaware’s are fast growers so I thought I’d wait it out. But it’s clear now!

Color at 4-8 weeks is more telling than size.
