I am currently planning out my coop for my 5 baby chicks. They are leghorns and I was wondering when they get full grown could a rabbit live with them in there coop? My rabbits live in standard rabbit cages and I hate them. I don't have the room or money to build each one a seperate run. Of course I have a play pen they switch off in. I am wondering if chickens and rabbits could co-exist in a coop together. The rabbit would most likely live outside and not actually in the inside area of the coop though. Just a thought. Suggestions

uhh sure if you want your rabbits dead (pecked to death)

LOL I have 3 rabbits running around, free! (they are kinda like chickens they do not go far from home) When my one goes in the pen with the chickens he is at their mercy and they will peck the fur off him! NOT recommended!

I HAVE A BUNCH OF RABBITS RUNNING FREE WITH MY CHICKENS. THE CHICKENS DO ABSOLUTLY NOTHING!!!!!!

Were the chickens and the rabbits raised together? That could have a lot to do with it.

My rabbits and chickens live in the same pen together....they even lay down in the straw together! The rabbits were there for about 6 years before the chickens, but integrated just fine. THere is never any pecking or hostility. Maybe it's all relative or depends on how much room they have. I say go for it....if it doesn't work you can always return them to their hutches.
