Could Rabbits Live With Chickens

Were the chickens and the rabbits raised together? That could have a lot to do with it.

That hen cam is really cool. I see the rabbit they all seem to be living fairly peacefully together.

Funny...I was actually wondering this also! We have started allowing our little dwarf rabbit to roam with our three girls during the day. He is like a little herding dog even though they are four times his size. We were watching their run and noticed all three hens lined up on their ramp patiently waiting to enter the coop for the night. Our little bunny was standing at the top refusing to move. the standoff lasted five minutes...boy were the chickies talking up a storm about it. I think i heard some four letter words.

I had to move the rabbit myself to let them in for the night.

A little pecking at him if he gets to close, but nothing overly aggressive

One thing to keep in mind is that rabbits can get very sick and even die from eating chicken feed. They are not designed for large amounts of grain and especially corn. They are grazing animals with a digestive tract for high fiber low carb foods. Too much grain all at once particularly if they aren't used to it may cause death.

Yes they could. I've seen lots do it. As a matter of fact, my friend has at least four separate pens, all of whom have chickens in them. She has even had rabbits brood eggs. But there are food issues to deal with. Health issues to deal with. And I am sure a large part of it is due to the individual personality of the creatures.
