Could she be a he?

This is Nugget, she's not the prettiest silkie in the world but she is loved even more so because of her quirky looks and personality. She eats pretty well despite her beak. Nugget hatched some time in May I think, though am not 100% sure.

I'm positive that she is a hen, she's not laid yet but hasn't crowed either. She looks like a hen to me, even with some stringy feathers at the top of her head which I believe is seen in silkie roosters, I put it down to her just not being a great example of her breed. I also suspect sometimes she may be a little bit not all there.
However my mum saw her mounting another hen.

Could it be possible that Miss Nug is actually Mr Nug who hasn't developed properly?

I'm thinking an he... I see the neck feathers are pretty rooster like, and the comb is a bit big for a hen. I don't know a lot about silkies, I could be wrong, sorry if I offend any experts with my lack of experience. Not really sure.

I'm not good with silkies, but I'm also leaning towards cockerel. It's definitely a cute little thing

I'm still hoping for a she. I bought Nug as a bulk lot and ended up selling the rest. There were two boys in that lot who started crowing before I sold them and that was back in October. Hopefully if Nug is a roo he stays the same.

Oh well, he's still got a home for life. I'm pretty fond of him and my mum adores him and probably would never forgive me if I got rid of him!
