Hi my sex linked ISA brown (Chip) has all of a sudden got a reddish pink comb, could she be a different breed and a roo? She is 4 weeks.
Also would I be correct in assuming my Austrlorp (Lessy) and Leghorn (Princess layer) are pullets at this stage?
I have also put a photo of my other ISA (Buttercup) for comparison.
Thanks.

The leghorn and astralorp look like 100% Pullets.

As mentioned above sex linked boys would be a different color if boys. If you are sure it is sex linked she is a girl.
If she “could” be another breed then may have to wait a bit to be sure. Whoever you got them from should be able to clarify that.

Thanks for your replies :D
I am probably just worrying about nothing. I wouldn't be able to keep a roo and I dont want that to happen!
I was concerned she looked like a RIR but I got her from a breeding farm so more than likely correct on breed. Thanks again!!

I don't think that first chicken is an ISA red sex link. They typically have white primaries on their wings. I think you have a Rhode Island or Production Red.

eta: the lighter one looks more like an ISA.

First off, you don't have any ISA Browns. That name is licensed, you can't just slap it on farm-bred birds. If they are sexlinks, they'd be gold or red sexlinks (gold/red are the same).

The lighter one looks like a sexlink but both dark and light could actually be offspring of sexlinks. Offspring of ISA Browns are not ISA Browns but I have a feeling this is what you have. If this is the case, color is no longer linked to gender.

Thanks for your reply, I really hope that isn't the case!
