Could she lay this early?

I have 6 golden comets that will be 12 weeks old on Tuesday and one of my girls has a red comb and waddle already! Here’s a pic of what the others look like and one of her. First time chicken owner so maybe I’m just getting a little too excited

I think it might be possible, as one of my Red Sex-Links laid her first egg the EXACT day she turned 16 weeks old! Earliest egg I've ever seen!

I'm guessing that yours could lay pretty early too, considering how red her comb is. She looks like mine the day she first laid an egg. I'm guessing that yours will start laying by 15-16 weeks, which like I said is very early.

She is still 5 or so weeks away from laying even though her comb and WATTLES are developing more rapidly than the rest of the flock.

I would say that she is only 3-4 weeks away. Red Sex-Links start laying really quickly.
