Could someone explain what "Chicken Math" is please?

I had a coop built for me, it is 10 x 12 salt box style, with a front ramp, also the people doors, and two windows. My intention was to get 16 chicks or so, I settled on 30 and 4 turkeys. Now that's what math is all about. LOL

difficult decisions, they like to be together in a flock but they do not like to be overcrowded, you will have to watch and adjust. Lower chicken numbers or increase pen size depending on how they get along

if i were you I would start building another coop. That will only hold 16 chickens if they are crammed in there, but we dont like cramming. fits 12 comfortably.
