Could this be a Black Australorp or a Black Copper Maran???

I bought these as day old black australorp chicks but they look more like Black Copper Maran to me. Can anyone help me figure it out? It's kind of fun to get different chicks than expected but only if you weren't counting on a certain breed

They dont look like black australorp to me they should be all black or somtimes a hint of blue ?

Its hard to see in the small pics but copper marans have the yellowish markings around the back of the head/neck
As u said it looks more like a maran .

They do have the orangish/red marking around the neck and no blueish tinge to the feathers that I can see so far.

When my Copper Black Marans have red based color way down on the breast, they also have a full copper collar, or hackles or what have you. They do not look like marans. The look like black sex links, (which I have never had one, just so you know I am just guessing) but I am about positive they are not marans.

The pictures are very small, but I can tell you that they are not Australorps because of the brown on their chests. We have 9 Australorps and none ever had brown on them. As babies they are black with white and yellow on their chests and as adults they are solid black, with a green iridescent tint to their feathers.

Okay. I just saw your new picture. It looks like a black sex link pullet to me. I have one almost identical to yours.

Here is a picture of mine when she was a bit younger. I need a more recent picture, but it's rainy and nasty outside right now. She looks more like yours now that she's a bit older.
