Could this be a duck egg?

I guess it all just proves that I'll know when I know! Haven't collected eggs yet this morning. Hoping there will be something in the same spot.

Not in the same spot but two more pearly white eggs behind the feed barrel!! AND a white egg from Sasha in the nest box. Furthermore I see my BOs in the nest boxes all the time. I'd be very surprised if they'd taken to laying on the floor. One of the eggs must have been from yesterday and I missed it. It had a crack in it. We cracked all the way open before throwing it away. It was much harder to crack than the chicken eggs DH cooked for his breakfast. I'm all but convinced my Khaki Campbell is laying them!
Woohoo!!!

Crack the egg open and if it's real thick, the egg-white, it's a Duck egg.
also, the shell is much thicker than the chick. If it's your first duck egg, they tend to be small like a hens egg. As the Ducks starts laying more, they will be Large.

I have to laugh because this thread is so old! It was definitely a duck and I've since picked up three more ducks. I get 5 ducks eggs a day without fail and don't know what to do with them! I sell them when I can but there isn't much call for them here.
I also figured out how one duck EGG was getting laid in the chicken nest box everyday. My khaki campbell jumped up on the lid of the feed barrel and then into the box to lay. She's since stopped doing but it sure was a mystery for a while.

You could sell them as pet food if people are too stupid to realize how good duck eggs are. Also market them to an oriental restaurant or call some bakeries.
