As a follow up. It's now been 2 weeks since the other eight roosters went to auction and his Comb and wattles have certainly turned more red. He has started crowing along with our bantam frizzle and he's starting to strut. However, he doesn't seem to have any interest in the ladies yet. Our bantam frizzle is trying to settle standard orps three times his size!
