Could this be twins?

Hi, I just did my day 9/10 candling to cull my duds, and I've thought for a few days this one Silkie egg could be twins? I see two distinct dark spots that move independently, but they are next to each other, and I thought twins tended to be on opposite sides of the egg?

Will do! I plan on candling every other day or so, to keep an eye on these. I know hatching twins is a crapshoot though, so I'm trying not to get my hope's up.

Interesting! If you search you will find other threads from people who hatched twins and they made it....

The first time I ever incubated eggs i got twins. I couldn't figure it out i didn't think it was possible. I accused my husband of sneaking in a chick to trick me. They hatched out on there own.

Hello all! It's day 20! So far only one egg is showing external signs of hatching, an Ayam Cemani that decided it was going to pip the wrong side of the egg. I have intervened a bit with this particular egg, because I wanted to ensure this chick could breathe. The egg with the possible twins is marked with green stars just to the right of the hatching Cemani egg. At the day 18 candling before lock-down, I definitely saw movement, but am unsure if it's one chick, two chicks, or me losing my mind!
