We recently acquired two new hens to our flock about over a month ago. We kept them in a dog cage for about two weeks then let them out with the rest. Our existing hen was acting territorial, pecking at them and not letting them eat, but I think that has gotten a little better. When I let them out yesterday morning, one of the new hens were missing. They didn't come back to the coop at night time so I thought something got her. I did see her come out this morning to eat and drink but by noon time or late morning, she has disappeared again. I saw some of her feathers by some of the piles of dead trees my dad chopped so I think she's hiding in there somewhere. We do have a rooster btw and she was laying eggs but I think she's been laying them in a hidden spot so that makes me wonder if she laid eggs in the dead trees somewhere and is brooding??
