Could this rooster pass a barring gene?

We recently hatched 15 chicks and one looks like a BR. We have a BR hen and my guess our BR chick is a cockerel (2 solid roos). 3 of the chicks are from our neighbors eggs (she gave us to keep). Could this rooster, of those 3 eggs, depending on the hen, have passed a barring gene so a chick looks like a BR?
I'm almost sure this is a cockerel (bottom pic) at 1 month old but want to check before I try to rehome him. I don't want to rehome a "possible" pullet. I'm trying to learn about genetics.

Are you also stating that he could produce one that looks like a BR?

I'll also have to see if the one that looks like a BR has any changes in feathers as it develops.

Yes. The rooster is barred, so he can pass barring on to offspring of either gender. Black is dominant over red, so if the hen was black based any barred chicks are going to look similar to barred rocks.

A 4 week old chick with a comb that large is almost certainly a cockerel, but it won't hurt to grow out a little more.
