I chose Bea from a group of feedstore chicks earlier this year because she was the fluffiest Ameracauna chick I have ever seen. She has been fully feathered out for awhile now, and I am starting to wonder if we actually scored a rumpless chicky. She has no hint of tail feathers beyond what you see here. How often does that happen?! lol

Bea today:

Wouldnt have a ameraucana have a tail, muff and beard? Its the araucana that are tailless. Also i dont think the color is right. But you might have a rumpless easter egger. Thats cool too

I know it is the Aracauna that is rumpless, which is why I am surprised she, as a hatchery Ameracauna, appears to be rumpless.

EEs and Ameraucanas both have Araucana genetics. So it is entirely possible that you get a rumpless every now and then. Do you know where the store got them from? Most hatcheries advertise their EEs as Ameraucanas.

That's what I was thinking may be the case. She is an Orscheln chick from C.M. Estes hatchery.

If its Estes you have a rumpless EE . THey throw all three names in there, Ameraucana , EE and Araucana AND then they mention that they have been crossed with other breeds.
