Couldn’t catch rooster

I just picked up a free bantam rooster only 5 months old and was introducing him to his new flock and couldn’t catch him to put in the coop with the others. He is small but mighty! He ran into the woods when me and my boys was trying to catch him and I’m so worried a predator will get him. Is there a chance he can survive the night ?

He might find an tree or bush to roost in. You can try to see if you can find him after dark, but likely he will hunker down somewhere.

Do you plan on keeping him separate for a period of observation to make sure he's not got any parasites or illnesses that can spread to your existing flock?
