The mouth turned black, shriveled up, and died. So, I do not think it liked it. I am an irresponsible plant owner!

But they do grow wild in my yard, along with sundews and 3 kinds of pitcher plants.

Well, they live in the "wild" parts, where we just visit them. They aren't into the domestication thing at all, really (the goats would probably eat them first!)

I love carnivorous plants! I used to be really into them, and I remember reading that the traps on them are only good for one or two snaps, then that leaf dies and a new one comes up. So maybe you didn't totally kill it.
