I went to the feed store. Came home with some peeping things. Honest, they followed me home! That excuse didn't work. Spouse was standing in the driveway when I got home. If they just hadn't been Magpies, I could have resisted. And, yes, they were straight run, and, yes, I know better. But they peeped loudly all the way home like my other magpie female did, so I am hoping.
