Congratulations
Hope the neighbors are good too. Big adjustment moving into town.
Yes, not sure I will tolerate it well. I will try not to travel during rush hours. At least it's not a huge city.
I will be very glad to be so close to the studio there.

I have been packing boxes most of the day, and it seems to take forever. But I need to weed some stuff out. I took extra pillows and blankets to the warming shelter in Danville. They were glad to get it there!
I have tossed out 7 or 8 bags of stuff I no longer want. Maybe another day in the loft, and I will be done that area. My bedroom next.
Having surgery to remove the cataract in my left eye. Makes your vision blurry, so it needs to go. Already had the right one done. Surgery Wednesday. Closing on the other house, on the 22th.
I will miss this place, but there's too much work for hubby and I even when there are only household pets. I will be 69 years old this month.

I'm close to your age and I have been having similar thoughts. The thought of sorting through all the "stuff" is overwhelming....much less living in town

Tell yourself to do one box or dresser a day. Getting started is the hard part.

Last night I was moving things around on the counter top of the kitchen island, and I knocked over a glass. It just fell over and broke. But didn't fall on the floor. However a big jagged piece of glass flew off and into my foot between my toes! Of course it bled all over after I pulled the piece out. I kept pressing a paper towel on the spot, and got the bleeding stopped. No need for sutures. But today, it itches like crazy. Want to scratch it so much, but it would just start bleeding again.
The packing continues every day. Forever, I think. The loft is emptying out. And my dressers. I keep washing clothes. And quilts. I will be one happy camper when we are done moving!
