My latest batch of chicks is six weeks old. There was a mix up with the eggs while hatching so I don't know who they came from. I got the eggs from two different local chicken ladies. :)

Chick 1 is a silkie over ? It has a sibling that is gray with black tips. The only two that are gray-skinned and five-toed.

Chick 2: I have no clue, but that is understandable as my primary flock (was) barred rocks. Each chicken lady listed off a stack for different bird types. One had two roos a silkie and an Orpington. But the hen list was diverse. The other is more the Americana, EE, etc type with quite a bit of white leghorn around.

Chick 3: My special little Outtie. She had an external yolk sack at birth for some reason I couldn't resist trying to save her. So she is small and special, but that doesn't help me know "what" she is.

What do you guys think?

She may have said Cochin. Aren't they a brooder type, if so that is quite the combo. She will never get off the eggs.
If she had some cochins then that’s what i would say the breed is. I have silkies, pekins and cochins and yes they are very broody lol 😂 seems to be the thing with fluffy bottoms as we call them. Silkies aren’t persistent layers anyway so you’ve got yourself quite the combo.😂

When I was talking to the source of those eggs, she said she had a Orphington and a silkie roo and that she could not say who was what eggs Daddy. My reply was "perfect, I wanted an outdoor incubator".
