Counting Days??

Ok. So we put our egg's in in the afternoon when my son got home from school. My question is do you count the day you put them in as day one or is the following day day one. I'm not sure??

Day one is from the point you put them in till that same time the next day. At that time it becomes day 2.

If you put them in in the morning that is day one, late afternoon or evening then day 1 is the following morning. Rebel's expalnation is more accurate, but this keeps it simple--especially if you have kids hounding you with--aren't they supposed to be hatching today--when it's only 7 a.m.

Day 1 is completed/counted after the 1st 24hrs.

So if you put them in at say, 12:01am on a tuesday, day 1 is complete at the midnight between tuesday/wed.

I didnt want to second guess myself, so I put all my eggs in at 12am on a given day.

Also, if you start on a wed, you finish on a wed(in theory).

To go along with Rebel Cowboy if you put them in on a Saturday they will hatch on a Saturday or day 21 is Saturday. Hopefully this helps.
