Country girl getting back to her roots

Hi all! I’m from central Texas. We had a small farm and raised all sorts of chickens and other livestock when I was a kid. I’ve been away from it awhile but always knew I’d come back to my roots. We have since gotten on some land and I started my coop with 10 chicks. 3 Barred Rock, 3 RI and 4 Amberlinks. Despite precautions a coon wiped out all but 3 of my Amberlinks. I have learned a lot from that onward and upward! Look forward to talking chicken

Not yet I need too! I have a plan in place to put up motion censor lights and I have been leaving the dog out at night he doesn’t need bother them but will chase the coons off
