Countrygirlcleelum...how are your orpington eggs doing?

Have you candled them yet? I just set mine today, i'm hoping I get something to hatch.

Mine are on day 6 and I tried to candle them last night, but not sure, the shells are really dark. The ones from Julie in Al five are growing really good due next Wednesday.

I hope you get some of those eggs to hatch they have some nice Orps.

Christina, how are your chicks doing from the last hatch?

They are doing great. One strange thing is the Brahma/orp the roosters have buff in them and the two hens I have are solid blue so far. Isnt that weird?

I ended up with a 50/50 ratio I think Hen/rooster

Im still up in the air with the BR, but I think the Black Orp. is a hen. Should be able to tell with in a few more weeks.

Wow! I bet it's an accidental sexlink! Cool! Hens take after the sire, roosters take after the dam. Those are beautiful!
