Countryside Organics Feed--- drop in egg production?

I've got 2 more bags of grower to go through for my now 6 week old chicks and 1 more bag of layer for my older girls. Then I've got 2 bags of green mountain feed to try (excited!) and then I also just yesterday found a feed store that carries Buckeye feed, and curious to try that out.

There is a TON of waste with CO with my birds. Even the chicks throw a bunch on the floor, pick through it for only certain things and leave the rest on the floor. I dunno. Have to see how they do on other pelleted feeds before I completely swear off CO though.

Egg laying dipped, one day I got no eggs at all. Yesterday, 3.

I'm VERY pick about my dog/cat foods that I feed, so the chicken feed world has been quite the experience for me!

I've been using CO for 2 years now and have wonderful eggs from helthy, beautiful hens...  The price and shipping is high but a bag will last me a couple of months.

How many chickens do you have? I'm considering this feed but it's pricey, if it could last me 2 months though it wouldn't be so bad!

I have 4 hens that get it. I mix in some basic layer feed just to make it last longer. I lasts me a good 3 months or so...
