thanks again for everyone who answered my previous question. our chicks are currently getting a lot bigger. we have four (two speckled sussex, one black langshan and one salmon favorelle) chicks and my first question is in regards to size. our salmon favorelle is about 1/3 larger than the other three. is this breed larger than other chickens? or is this indicative of a rooster and not a hen? and my other question is in regards to feeding. we started out using a cut up egg carton which worked great. now they are standing on it and scratching most of the feed out. this seems normal, but do you have suggestions for other feeding techniques? we have a large feeder, but it is rather large and i was hoping to just hang it in the coop to start. i may have to use it now though.
thanks again,
