Cover for pop door while open?

On my pop door which is open year-round, I used a couple sheets of small bubbled bubble wrap--they can sorta see through it so they had no problem instantly going in and out. It was heavy enough cause I used a few sheets so did not blow in the wind and seemed to work perfectly.

I have a regular doggie door as my pop door and the chickens go right through. I had to train them by taping it up for a few days but they are fine with it down now. Works great!!!

In regards to clear plactic for the pop door-
I just came home from Joann fabrics and they have 10-20 gauge clear plastic to put over the pop door as a chickie door. It's 7.99 per yard-i bought the 15 gauge stuff-stiff, but not too stiff...

they are having a sale in which you can pick up a coupon in store for 50% off (until tomorrow). so it cost me 3.99 for a full yard, i could make about 5 chickie doors with what i have. Having my hubby put this up tonight-we'll see if they get the hang of it! thanks for the suggestion above on the post!
