(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I'd say I'm still quite the novice, but I've butchered (in every sense of the word) two roosters thus far. I purchased my first set of chickens early December 2009. Almost a year!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
10 chickens!
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have little idea. A primary reason for joining this website!
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
The woman scratches about these forums to find answers to her chicken inquiries and I've threatened more than once to join one day. Here I am!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
The endless pursuit of Self Sufficiency, Canning, and homesteading topics. I also do manly things like car maintenance, fish, and drink beer
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a dog (Summer), two cats (Stormy and Whitney), and 10 chickens (Spike, Reba, Roxanne, Hank, Chicken Hawk, Runti, and four unnamed and TBD)! I manage an insurance brokerage in the High Desert, and spend the weekends with my real Kat laying blueprints for the future.
