Coworker who doesn't eat eggs gave us a whole bunch of egg cartons.

What is up with this? Why does she have them? The coworker is from India and apparently has never eaten eggs.

DH asked if she wanted to fill the cartons and was told absolutely not! But she was incredibly relieved to have someone to pass off the cartons to.

I'm just beyond confused.

Maybe her family eats them? I got a huge pile of cartons from someone once who had saved a whole ton for paper machee and as paint holders for kid paintings.

Good point. It makes me think that I can set up a stand at our town recycling area because what do people do with these things when they're done and apparently can't bring themselves to throw them out?

I know sometimes our church group will collect large amounts of egg-cartons around Easter time to hold eggs or paint or whatever else. People use them for other things than just eggs. Maybe she or someone in her family was collecting them for something and just never got rid of them or used them?
