Cows and Dogs-not a combo worth trying *rant*

They won't learn. I had an Australian Cattle Dog that chased my horses. Shock collars, extensive obedience lessons and a cracked skull (multi-fractures) later, she was still chasing. Her 1/2 sister chased them the last 6years of her life - even though she was completely blind.

Why are they bad dogs? They're doing what they do!

Put them on a leash or long lead (not those stupid retractables) or get an e-collar(you should be trained to use one of these properly first). If they even look at the cattle I'd be correcting them. They need proper, consistant obedience training and if given enough over time, they will listen to you and leave the cattle alone, even a heavy prey driven dog will listen.

I'm working my dogs on the chickens and geese with an e-collar right now.
