Cows & Bull

I will say, if you do get a bull, even a nice one, get a good prod too, and never go in there without it. The prod is not enough to keep you from getting hurt, but it's a good way to let the bull know to stay away, and it's always better to be safe than sorry.
The guy I bought my Jersey from always carried one, and one day his tractor broke so he needed to hop down and fix it, the bull was across the pasture so he assumed he would be safe. A couple seconds later he turned and that bull was running like a bat out of hell, he didn't get on his tractor in time and his wife had to use her tractor to get the bull off of her husband. They're smart little buggers.

My bulls always ranged from wanting scratches to wanting to play (which involved balling me up and rolling me across the pasture). If I smacked him, and told him to knock his crap off…… he’d listen half the time. Never hurt me, just didn’t let me get my feet under me.

He was delicious.
