I am getting about 25-30 eggs a week from my 21 layers. Can’t wait for the new 9 to start. But won’t probably be until after the new year. The six hens that are a year are keeping us afloat, along with one of my 2yo Olive Eggers. Everyone else seems to be on molt break or winter break.All three of my flocks (have them separated into smaller groups, but need to merge two of them) have runs that look like birds exploded. LOL
The older hens looked mangy and their coop/run is full of feathers.
The molt has been hard enough in all my flocks to really slow egg production, which is problematic because we're to the point where we can sell between 5-10 dozen eggs per week from my 37 layers. In August I got 204 eggs in one week, now I'm lucky to get 100.
