Cows & Bull

I found breeding dates are prone to drift. Drop a bull among cows for 30 days and all your calves drop within 30 days. Leaving bull in year round you start getting missed heats and add another 3 weeks on the other end.

I’ve never had a problematic bull. Running 3-5 head I chose to leave him in year round. Every few years, I’ll eat the bull and reset my calving dates.

Do you know anything about fencing? What fencing do you use to keep a bull in?? I've read about what a hassle it is keeping bulls fenced in..
Depends on the bull. It's been many years since we farmed and we had dairy cows. We never separated ours. Beef bulls may be a different story as they can be a bit more wild. Pipe corral may work. Multiple strands of electric is another option. Wooden rail fences, or welded wire lined with electric are other options. It all depends on how determined the bull is, and how contented he is in his fence. Some are mellow, some are dangerous.

I don't know much about cows, and even less about bulls, but most of the ones one sees around here just have the regular fence, netting with three or so strands of wire on top.
I don't think I wanna risk it with bulls

I don't want to die yet, ESPECIALLY by a bull
but seriously everything i've read about them demonizes them and it is scaring meee!! :barnie
