Hello, I had a coyote take one of my girls and then come back for a second one. I caught the coyote in the act (middle of day in my fence!) she dropped the second hen and ran off. My girl had one puncture would on her thigh, minimal bleeding. We took her in the house cleaned her up and started a anti microbial spray on the wound. She has stayed in the house in a dog crate while she recovers. She eats and drinks, even if it’s not a lot. The wound looks very good, no sign of infection. The issue I’m worried about is she still doesn’t want to walk. She will stand gingerly on it and take a couple hops, but then she lays back down. She doesn’t seem to be making much progress walking since the attack which is now 8 days ago. My question is: how long should it take her to get back to walking? Is this a normal recovery time?

Your sure she is not infected there right. Most can recover I am sorry she was bit. You can get triple antibiotic salve no pain killer . She is hurt shock has worn off now ..
