Coyote

I have 2 mutts. 35lbs & 20lbs. Bigger dog chases off coyotes & smaller one chases off foxes. Bigger dog heads for the woods when danger is sensed, and smaller dog stays up front by the house & poultry. A dynamic duo that hasn't failed me yet this year. Bonus - very little training. All you need are dogs eager to please & not eat your poultry.

That last sentence is key - don't let your dogs eat the poultry!

FYI people who use dog to chance off wild life... Pease make sure there up to date on rabies! Skunks can be carries of rabies, and not die from it!

Absolutely! We had a coon with distemper last year. Really bad case of it. Yes, both of my dogs get their shots. There's just a lot of wildlife here & you never know what can happen. The bigger dog can read the other critters well. He knows better than to get too close to coyotes, but he does get his message across. Quite a sight to witness. He's got quite the knack & is very protective of our poultry. I'm free ranging 4 week olds & 2 month old chicks for their first time today. Dogs lay around & keep watch. He's already been barking & running into the woods a couple of times this morning. Best dogs ever!!!
