Cracked Corn question

I have bags of whole dried corn kernels. Can I make cracked corn by simply crushing it or taking a hammer to it? Or is there something else that needs to be done to it? What is the best way to "crack" it?

Ohhhh.. Good luck on that..

I know of no easy way to do it without a grinder..

You can feed it whole, or get yourself a cheap grinder off ebay or something. I got one for under $30 and grind my own grains fresh.

Yes cracked corn is just that... Corn that is ground or cracked.

You could use a hammer, but that would take a long time and a lot of effort. If your chickens are standard sized, they should be able to eat it whole.
