Hi! I have one chicken egg that's cracked in my incubator that's 5 days old... it's viable and it's in my automated egg turner. Should I leave it and see how it goes? And also should I go through my eggs and get rid of the porous ones? I've hatched ducks but not chickens.... thank you in advance....

it could be fine, bacteria could get in and make it go bad
some people seal cracks with liquid bandage, nail polish, wax, some leave them
i think most people toss them as to not possibly have it go bad and explode

I had one cracked on day 16, a big hole from dropping the incubator lid on it. I sealed it with a square of plastic and hot glue, and it survived until hatch day but unfortunately got stuck while hatching in the middle of the night and was too far gone to be saved.
I also had a goose egg with a dent in it -from about a week before it hatched- I left that one alone and it hatched.
