I got eggs from Germany shipped to me, one has cracks.
Since they cost gazzilion euro´s (ugh Germany is sooo expensive) I also want to try to incubate this one. So I waxed it closed.

What do I have to look out for when candling, besides the usual?
I just have thrown another one out that was dead in the egg; it had cracks at the airsacks the candeling before thrown out; the cracks had a darker line around them. I assume this are bactaeria that entered it? Am I correct, or could it be just that the airsack is a bit loose around the crack?

Thanks.

Cracks lead to bacterial infection; I'd have cleaned that spot with soap or alcohol before sealing it. The dark lines were probably bacteria.

Good luck on your eggs. What breed are they?

Thanks I´ll throw it out when the cracks turn brown again then.
