I went to the coop and sure enough, my hen laid another egg. However i noticed that the smaller end of the egg had a very small crack in it and around the crack was a purple vein looking thing right underneath the crack. I know she just laid it today. Is it still safe to eat or should i get rid of it??

I had one like that last night, complete with the purple vein. My husband made me get rid of it...maybe someone else can help answer the question but I always thought that any kind of cracks in the shells make them permeable to bacteria, etc. So, you wouldn't want to eat something that hasn't been fully protected against what might be in your coop. Incidentally, I did crack the egg open & it was beautiful....since we weren't going to eat it, I scrambled it in the microwave & gave it to my hens with their evening treats.
