So, I finally candled the peafowl eggs tonight. They look good, except for one with a u-shaped crack. It's pretty good size.

Should I pitch it, or do you think I could seal it with beeswax?

I used Elmers glue on a cracked egg I had. I put it on once a week with a Qtip. It was a Goose egg. It made it up to about day 25 than quit. I was so upset.

I have 1 in the bator that was porus...Got it in the mail it sealed itself but it was pinhole size...It is forming nicely keeping my eye on it !!

Thanks! I'm going to try to give it every chance!

Have the candle wax heating up.

when i dyed my eggs i sealed the holes with band aid plastic. they hatched fine, wax would work even better i would think though. online it suggests paraffin wax....crayon wax maybe? lol.

i had a bad crack in my bantam egg to i put elmers glue on there and it hatched but it tried to hatch on the side where the glue was so i had to help it out b/c the glue was not letting the chick hatch

I have successfully used superglue on cracked eggs before, and the chicks hatched out fine. Use a light touch, and do help them crack those spots if they have trouble.
