i live in St Pete Fl...where can i get cracked oysters for the chickens? is it something they need they are aloud to free range in the day time..

No it's really ground oyster shell. It helps their shells to be hard. You can get it where ever you get your chicken feed. put some in a cup, near where they eat. They will eat some when they need it.

You can also toss your egg shells into the oven and bake them for about an hour to dry out. Crunch them up and put them in the cup as well.

They may not need them. I think you have a lot of calcium in your soil. They they will get it when they free range. you may also have it in the feed you give. We just have it out there just in case on of them wants it.
