Brought this little girl home earlier this evening...she was raised in an apartment on rice and beans. Owners told me her favorite food is french fries. Sigh...
They said she was 3 months old and they thought she was an "ameraucana" that would lay blue eggs. She was swiped from a nest in Ybor City in Tampa, FL right after she hatched. There is a wild chicken population similar to the Key West chickens in Ybor. You'll see all sorts of varieties and mutts roaming the streets, so I know she is probably a mutt, but I'd appreciate any input on her possibilities. Also, what is your opinion on her comb?
I've included the picture they gave me of her as a chick, too.
Many thanks!!

Not sure exactly what breed she is but I can tell you she is not a specked sussex!

I agree she looks gamey and the comb looks like it will be a cushion or a strawberry comb. I think Malays have a strawberry comb and I think they come in a spangled color, so I am guessing that may be in be in the mix somewhere.

With a decent diet, it will be interesting to see how she develops...

But she is pretty with the speckled/spangled thing going on. A game mix makes sense -- good survivors in urban chicken life and the Cuban culture in Ybor was known for cock fighting so the history is definitely there.
Thanks y'all!

I saw this thing on Animal Planet about the wild chickens of America. The show said all of them were Modern, Old English and 20th century fowl that had be released by a chickenfighter in 2008 or something and they really flourished and made this population where the locals feed them and the chickens crow rooster and poop everywhere. It was in Florida I think.

So your girl should be any combination of those breeds listed. Feel free to hit the green button if this was helpful :)
She's also a calico colored chicken, its a type of mille fleur with too much white (says the calico cochin thread)
